Unearth a Story with Brunswick County Library’s 2026 Summer Reading Program

PUBLIC NOTICE

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County Library invites readers ages 0 to grade 12 to embark on a journey of discovery with the 2026 Summer Reading Program: Unearth a Story. This free, nine-week program will begin June 1 and continue through July 31, 2026, at all library branch locations.

The library branches and bookmobile will host a variety of programs for all ages. Children will enjoy themed storytimes, music and magic shows, crafts, and live animal encounters, while teens can participate in clubs, escape rooms, visual arts, and more. A complete list of events is online on the Library’s events calendar and the Library website.

The Unearth a Story program is designed for participants to read books and attend programs to win prizes. Participants can track their progress by picking up a reading log from any of the library branch locations or by signing up for READsquared—Brunswick County Library’s free, online reading challenge platform and app. There is no cost for anyone to participate.
